Musa’s second goal against Iceland that kept Nigeria hopeful in the tournament was one in town.

He kept his composure, stayed focus, confused the keeper, then the defender and finally he ignored Iheanacho’s plea for him to pass the ball and took the long awaited shot that ended up as the goal of the match.

The Nigerian striker is short-listed amongst strikers like from Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma, from Portugal, Croatia captain and Golden Ball winner Luka Modric, Spain defender Nacho, Brazil’s Philipe Coutinho, Russia attackers Denis Cheryshev [2] and Artem Dzyuba for the best goal in the global football showpiece.

The winner will be announced after voting closes on July 23 according to a statement from Fifa.
